tasting notes

Deep red colour, ripe dark fruits on the nose - blackberry, a little blackcurrant and savoury notes from spicy oak. Full-bodied palate with concentrated flavour and plenty of weight, yet with fine dry tannins giving an impression of elegance. Very good length

vintage

An above warm and wet August saw a very promising start to the growing season and flowering and fruit set had perfect conditions.
But summer came early with a very hot and dry November, December and January.
Eventually, in February we received some good rainfall. Vintage began early on 2nd of March. Flavour and tannin ripeness were very good and sugar levels to our delight slightly lower than in the past years.
Overall 2010 was a very good year with few problems.
